Inspiration is everywhere – you just need to get out of your comfort zone and get on track. For the first time ever, a streetwear icon has taken his talents from retail to road. Here’s your first look at the Undefeated and AMSP collaboration with its partner Vuse.
There’s no faster canvas than the body of an Indy car, and when James Bond gets on the wing, engine cover or the sidepod, there’s no telling how far he’ll go. As the co-founder of global streetwear brand Undefeated, Bond knows how to turn items into icons. 20 years ago he opened a sneaker store on LA's La Brea Avenue.
Today, Undefeated is one of the most recognized brands and well-curated boutiques in global streetwear culture, leading with true LA expression and unabridged authenticity. So when Bond was given the blank canvas of the No. 7 Vuse Arrow McLaren SP car, he unleashed the full scope of his creativity, laying on the brand’s signature tiger camouflage print over the race car’s papaya color.

It's something we've never done before, so we're really putting ourselves out there," says Bond of his partnership with Vuse. "All of a sudden you're at the top. There's nowhere else to go, so you get to stand there for a minute and just really kind of soak it all in. We're at the pinnacle of all this."
The full design will be unveiled at one of the biggest sporting events in the world: The Indianapolis 500. It's the first time a streetwear designer will be taking his talents to this track, and in expressing himself outside of his comfort zone, Bond's already in the lead.

Through the Vuse Design Challenge, we’re giving YOU the chance to get your creativity on a racecar! 25+ Adult Tobacco Consumers can submit a paint scheme for a chance to win $10,000 and see it speed down the track during the inaugural Big Machine Music City Grand Prix in Nashville on August 8th. “Overall to do anything that gets out into the world, whether one person sees it, or a million people see it, I think it's just good to kind of put yourself out there in general," advises Bond. “In life's philosophy, you add to the layers. It’s how you become better as a person.”
